Why Juliartiste? My grandmother was French and it was her daughter, my mother who taught me drawing and painting by her example. Following my heritage I did a degree in French.  Since then, and like many, I have continued to value the popular, inspirational and revolutionary artists who emerged in Paris and the south of France;  in particular for me, Cezanne, Monet, Bonnard and Matisse.  

 

Matisse said, in translation, “Exactitude is not the truth. Expression is in the whole arrangement of the picture to create a harmonious feeling."
